SEVASTOPOL, 4 may. / TASS /. Sevastopol state University received a presidential grant in the amount of 5.3 million rubles for carrying out the fundamental research aimed at reducing the side effects of chemotherapy in the treatment of cancer. On Friday reported the press service of the University.
"More than 10 young scientists of the Sevastopol state University will have two years to conduct research, which in the future will allow to create a technology for cancer. Work will be conducted on 5.3 million rubles for two years"- said in the message.
Future development was commented by the rector of the Sevastopol State University, Professor Maxim Evstigneev. "The project is considered to be in the future, for example, the antitumor effect of certain drugs. In real biological tissue (mice) we have proved that the combination that we offer,", – the press service quoted the words of the rector.
It is reported that the work under the grant has been applied to 12 young scientists under the age of 30 years.
